Nightmare Before Xmas

Another All Hallows' Eve has ended and Terror Town is filled with the screams and roars of celebration. This year was the biggest candy hall yet and more people were scared tonight than any other Halloween. BUT! One final trick is left to be sprung on one unsuspecting house this holiday season. The Great Pumpkin King has tasked all the best trick or treaters, the nastiest misfits, and the spookiest creepers to go on one last run… to the North Pole. Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

Kidnap Sandy Claws. It’s up to you! You’ll have to design mischief makers, plan your attack, execute said plan, and return with the package in hand. Sounds simple enough right?

But what actually is Nightmare Before Xmas, you ask? Nightmare Before Xmas (a Goblin Quest hack) is an imagination driven and shared storytelling experience along the lines of Dungeons and Dragons but with 99% less mechanics. With a group of 3-5 players you will design and tell the story of a straight to video version of the obvious influence for this “one-shot” style adventure. You do not need a game master for Nightmare Before Xmas as it is a collaborative storytelling endeavor but you WILL need some paper, pencils, an open mind, and some six sided dice. Print out or use the character sheet provided as a reference to keep track of the flow of the game.
